The BAV institute went to meet employees to find out their relationship to work and what place it has in their lives. While it is obviously important for a majority of employees, many of them also declare that they are stressed by their work. Moreover, the most satisfied are those who do not work outside the hours of work provided for in the contract.
Work: an important element in the lives of employees
For 85% of the employees interviewed by the BAV institute, work counts a lot in their lives. Those most attached to their work include managers (92%), women (88%) and public sector employees (89%). Those who declare that work is not an important element of their life are in a clear minority: only 18% of men and 22% of intermediate professions. Work provides a social life for 80% of employees and for a large proportion of women (85%) and young people (92% of 18-24 year olds and 86% of 25-34 year olds).
Work, a means of valorization but source of stress
The work makes it possible to enhance his qualities (79%) and his creativity (58%) but is also a source of stress for 65% of them. They are the most stressed 18-24 year olds (80%). Nearly nine in ten employees think of their activity outside of working time and even more than half say they work on their personal time (56%). Women (44%), managers (52%) and 18-24 year olds (56%) are the ones who think about it the most, even if it does not have a negative impact on work-life balance. However, the most satisfied employees (79%) are those who declare that they do not work outside their hours provided for in their contract.
Work more: budgetary reason?
Working more can be an additional compensation lever to deal with large expenses. In some cases also, households are engaged in the repayment of several loans, and the monthly payments to be honored may ultimately leave a living allowance deemed insufficient. The repurchase of credit makes it possible to reunite them to pay only one monthly payment at a single rate.
With a longer duration and a higher final cost, we can reduce the weight of the monthly repayment because the monthly repurchases of credit can be lower than the total amount of the previous installments. All types of loans can include a loan buy-back (real estate, consumption, auto, revolving credit and even bank overdraft).
